Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. She has a father named Paul Felix. Paul Felix is an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed a flair for athletics before she realized her athletic abilities when she was a student at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her first tryout she came 2nd in the 200m race during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix finished high school having signed a professional contract with the company that makes sports Adidas before enrolling at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal in 2004 at the Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an unofficial Junior World Record running 200 metres in 22.18 seconds. The year 2005 was the time she became the youngest 200-meter world champion at the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007 over her former Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She always finished at the top of the podium in all races.
