Allyson Felix
Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November the 18th of November, 1985, in Los Angeles. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley, and their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed an early talent to play sports while in high school at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic talent at that time. Only 10 weeks after her first tryout she came in second place in the 200 meters in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school and signed a pro-contract with Adidas. In 2004 she enrolled in her first year at the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic award at 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s which set a new junior world record. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the youngest winner in the world in the distance of 200 meters. She won the title in 2007. defended her title by beating Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in the Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo regularly placing in the top three places in all her races.
